Peerbits has developed a grocery marketplace application that helps the restaurants to buy groceries from the farmers in their city. With this application, the farmers can also sell groceries through their agents. The app allows the restaurants to buy groceries by categories. It also allows them to search the product by name. The restaurant owners can also view their past orders.

The application comes with several other features to facilitate easy grocery buying experience for the restaurants. Some of these features are multiple modes of payments that include cash and cards, return policy, tracking order status, select city, product details, checkout, wishlist, and many others.

The Challenge

While developing this application, we came across several challenges. We had to maintain the prices and inventory stocks of the farmers in real-time. Not only this, we also had to manage all the deliveries to the restaurant’s location. Apart from that, we had to manage several other things like farmer product, account details, and offline orders.

The Solution

We understood all the challenges properly and came up with the final solution that can overcome all of it. We used the socket technology that made it possible to reflect any change in the price of the product that has already been added in the cart in real-time. Our solution is also feature-rich which provides a rich experience to restaurant owners, farmers, agents, and many more.

Manage Restaurants

With this feature the admin can effectively manage all the restaurants. He can add, delete, and modify restaurant details.

Wishlist

This feature allows the restaurant owners to add all the unavailable products to the wishlist. They are notified once the product is available again.

Search product

This feature allows the restaurant owners to search the product by name. They can simply enter the name of the product to search for it.

Manage Agents

The admin can also manage agents by adding, modifying, and deleting various agents with the help of the admin panel.

Categories and Sub-categories

This feature allows the restaurant owners to search products by their categories and sub-categories. The user can click on a category to see all the products in it.

Manage Farmers

The admin can seamlessly manage all the farmers. They can add, modify, delete various farmers from the admin panel.

Reports

With this feature in place, the admin can view a detailed report of all the transactions made by the restaurants, agents, farmers, etc.
